New alternator.

Building up a serpentine front end on my Rover V8 engine and the standard alternator is too big to clear the bonnet on the Stag.
Have tried the TVR and Morgan brackets but with the same problem. Now realise I need a smaller, physical, size alternator.
Have been to the websites of the main manufacturers but cannot find any details of the size.
So, has anyone fitted a smaller size alternator to the serpentine front end and could let me have the type that fitted?
Thanks.

Then you want the JE alternator bracket it does away with the self adjusting tensioner and big cumbersome bracket and position the alternator lower down look at both pages on this link http://www.pistonheads.com/Gassing/topi ... &mid=54958 8-) https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=chima ... TfgTZAM%3A contact http://www.johnealesroverv8.co.uk/index.html You can also get extra room by using a Bosch Ford alternator off the early push-rod 1.3 KA

SimpleSimon, it would be a great help if you could send me a picture of your alternator bracket, and type/part no. of your alternator.
Thanks for your help.
