UNF socket head coloured bolts

Folks,

Looking to dress up my engine and looking for some anodised or whatever way coloured unf socket head bolts. have googled the life out of it and nothing for imperial only metric. Does anyone know where i might get some.

Plenty if you google cap screws, not sure about coloured, maybe zinc or cadmium also stainless available

hi,

yep there sure are plenty that's not the problem getting cap screws. I'm looking for coloured ones. You can get any amount of zinc and stainless its anodised i'm looking for as i original said

As far as I know, you can only anodise aluminium.

there are limited colours for steel, using passivate finishes, not anodized different process. Have a look here http://www.metalcolours.co.uk/zinc-plating.php you can get DIY kits http://gaterosplating.co.uk/Zinc-Plating-kit.php personally I don't think it worth the bother, if you want shiny then A2 stainless is pretty good, gun blueing (black finish) is reasonably tough if it has to be high tensile steel, yellow cad passivate always looks like a cheap attempt at gold.

Did someone not invent a plating machine that would plate anything anywhere?
I think I saw it of dragons den and when talking he gold plated the back of an I phone

So standard bolts and then plate in place!

had a look on youtube showing the process of diy plating kit. Man there is some work in it. Feck it i'll just stick with zinc plated. Thanks guys
