Ford coilpack HT lead ends

I've got my V8 running on a pair of EDIS coilpacks on the side of the plenum using an old set of leads I originally trimmed to fit with the coilpacks behind the carbs. The leads just reach over to all the plugs enough for the engine to run but is a mess.
I want to make all new leads to suit my installation, I have a ht lead crimping kit and have done a couple of sets in the past so physically making the leads is not a concern.
What I want to know is does anyone know of a supplier of the complete Ford type coilpack ht lead ends, plastic clamp thing, boot and terminal?
I found this but it lists as being out of stock

Google Triggerwheel.
They do them for both 1st and 2nd generation type coils but they are £5 each. OUCH!

Yeah just found that, £40 for the set!
At that price I'd be better off buying another couple of sets to shorten again which is what I'm trying to avoid

Being a cheapskate I used ones removed from scrappie cables And the plug ones too - just used new cable.
The genuine Ford connectors are pretty strong and seemed quite happy being (carefully) opened up and crimped again.
Getting the rubber boots off can be tricky. I worked in some red rubber grease between cable and boot with a long thin screwdriver, and they came off intact.
Cut the cable off flush with the terminal and inserted needle nose pliers into the remains to open up the terminal. Only just enough to remove the old bits.
Didn't have the correct crimp tool - but a BNC one proved ideal.
Total cost for eight about £25. They've been fine for several years now.

The first set I made were from a Ford Ka 1.3, stupidly long but suitable to shorten the plug end with pliers as you said on my old V8. My second set was made from a roll of lead, and two sets of old leads from a Rover and Ford for the boots and a proper crimp tool to fit in my Rover P6 with M16 engine.
I've got enough ignition lead off a roll to make a new set for my SD1, I've got plenty of plug ends in my kit, but really wanted to stick a new set of coilpack ends on. I'm not trying to do things as cheaply as possible, just want something nice that will last

This ^ the original Motorcraft copper crimps are very robust and can be used a number of times the boots will even accommodate 9mm leads

I have made a couple of sets using this method for 2 installs, just use a lubricant (Plusgas/WD40 etc) to dismantle and build the leads into the rubber boots using long nose pliers and a suitable crimp tool like MSD/Accel etc.

I did wonder about that not having seen many EDIS plug leads. The ones I used - from an early Escort - had much thicker brass to the terminals than I'd have expected. So perfectly ok to re-use with care.
I'd normally not re-use any crimped terminal - but in this case it was possible.

I did 2 sets of fiesta ones using my Halfords trade card

as long as you do the plug ends and then not all of them, I think I only did 3

I used these guys years ago for a custom set of leads made to my lengths using spiral cables.

As above, I picked up spare 2nd hand coilpacks with leads and reused the ends on new cable. With a squirt of silicone spray you cant get the boots off easy enough, uncrimp the terminals and reassemble on new leads.

My cents worth learn to use a soldering iron and heat shrink and do away with those horrible crimp terminals

try to have as little joins possible you seem to have a few there

hope it goes well for ya

If you look at his website the shop has been closed for a few days whilst he was in france doing a landrover event.
I can vouch for him, as can the rest over on LR4x4.com. He is one of the good guys.
I have bought all my megasquirt stuff off him including the packs to make the HT leads including the ford coil pack plugs.
No doubt, if you give him a ring on monday he will be able to sort you out no problems
