I've got another thread going regarding my cooling system which I think I've got to grips with and I don't want to clutter with this, which should be a fairly simple answer.

I'm making some changes and am about to order all the hoses etc and as my rad top is most definitely not the highest part of my cooling system I'm thinking of adding a secondary auto-bleed pipe as high as I can in the cooling system - the pipe that goes to the top of the expansion tank.



Pipe "N" is being removed/blanked. That's a good point height wise. Would that be ok? Cut the pipe, blank it off and insert a "Tee" for my secondary bleed pipe? (6mm ID pipe)

"J" is actually the very highest point but I can't see how I Tee off a 90 degree bend.

Maybe take both N and V into the header tank via two small pipes.

Cheers Chris. I ordered a load of nice blue silicone pipes and fittings earler.

"V" is actually on a downward slope and no higher than N. I'm removing the "N" pipe altogether and replacing the "V" alloy pipe with a straight one.

I've got a 16mm to 6 mm reducer to turn "right" N into a 6mm pipe which will go to the header, joining the existing bleed pipe.

I'm also implimenting the changes outlined in my other post. I also had a chap at a landy specialist look at it today and he confirmed that "A" is ok, "N" is pointless, as is "B" which I'm plumbimng straight into the back of the pump.

Oh, and I've ordered a 72 degree stat too - I looked and there is no stat there.

Quite why it's plumbed as it is I don't know, but then changes have probably been made organically as bits have been changed over the years perhaps.
