hello all,

more questions than answers???

On the flared aluminium trumpet bases, should the four centre trumpet heights be pretty much all the same?

Mine look to be all slightly different in heights, just wondering if this will cause any differences in length of each intake runner or differences in fuelling?

cheers

The inner ones should be taller than the outer ones to compensate for the runner length.
The four taller ones should be the same level, but I have seen ally ones where they are a few mm different, presumably to fit them all in. If that's the case, I wouldn't be concerned.

There's about 5mm different in height between all the trumpets in the middle, and yes its very tight to them all in.

Might spend some time and make them all the same, when I remove the head gaskets for replacement.

Would prefer if they were level, for my own piece of mind, something less to worry about.

cheers

:whs The inlet manifold ports are of various shapes and sizes anyways across the outer cylinders
