Looks like the fuel pump I replaced back in 2012 has started complaining,
it rattles and buzzes very loudly now once the fuel temp gets a bit warm,
the pump is a bosch 044,
replace with the same? or try a different make??
single or twin pumps?

Replace with the same
But NEVER NEVER NEVER let it run dry.
Even make sure it is preprimed with fuel (blow or suck it through the pump) before turning it on

And if you have ever opened one up to have a look inside you would understand why.
Always install with an over sized supply with nothing i the line, as close to the tank as possible and as low as possible to get as much tank head as you can get. If that pump has to draw fuel (suck) then it will die very quickly. Should have 15mm feed to it if possible.
Noise when fuel warm could be cavitation - a pumps worst enemy

Are you actually experiencing a fuel supply problem ?
They can get noisy, doesnt always affect performance. And at only 2 years use, they should not be failing.
What is the supply from tank to pump like ( pipe sizes, lengths etc ) ? and is it same sound with a full tank of cool fresh fuel ?

Pipe size is about 15mm min I'd size from tank may even be bigger.
Never use to be noise on a full tank cold but it's started being noisy when first used now too gets louder longer you use the car. Sat in a traffic jam Sunday on way back from the track was unbearable the noise pitch keeps changing too
Have read on another forum one guy has to change his every year

If he's changing pumps that often, he's either mental or his supply is very bad.
I've been using the same pumps for 7 years or so now. I've driven for as much as 4-5 hours non stop, been stuck in hot traffic etc. Yes at times they can get noisy, but they always still work.

Just been told to check my ROV on the tank as these have failed on capris causing problems and upsetting the pump

Anything that can interupt or restrict the fuel flow to the pump is bad.
And yes that would include a non-vented tank

Was it blocked ?
Is your cap a sealed one or vented ?

Sealed cap on mine mate.
Don't know if it's blocked but to get the valve out have to drop the tank anyway so if it's not blocked I have a spare

When you remove the cap, is there usually any pressure or vacuum ? Or none ?

Just for info, I replaced the Bosch pump on my SD1 EFI at some 130,000 miles and 20 odd years. It had got slightly noisy, but still worked ok. But I'd never run out of fuel - always fill up when the light comes on.

All Capri tanks are vented to atmosphere Tony .

you should have a vent pipe close to the axle line

Is your cat and tank ex Efi or ex carb?
If carb it would not have a built in sump.
With new engine in and driving it with new tyres etc you could be managing to uncover the tank outlet on cornering ( having fun at roundabouts)?
But you may be running the pump dry for a tiny period without even realising.
Belt and braces fit a low pressure pum to swirl pot and run your Bosch pump from that
