Has anyone seen or had any experience with these carbies?
Stright up 625 CFM seems a little large for a 4.6 Rover but with the secondary "ari valve control" it might to the trick.

Looks like a reincarnated quadrajet!
What are the thoughts of this on a mildly worked 4.6?

Looks like a tidy version of the Edelbrock series ie Weber 500 type.

Used quite a bit here on V8 Holdens. Some guys have had trouble tuning Demons and prefer Holley or Quickfuel carbs

Check out the Aussie V8 forums too.

I ran a 650 Demon carb for a couple of years on my supercharged Rover,
Had no trouble with it.Gone with a QFT carb now, better quality IMHO
Have got a SA Design tuning Demon book if anybody needs more info !

Thanks Robrover, I will check out that link, I am very interested in the smallest QFT and BLP carbs
Blown V8, originally I had a Holley 650 DP street HP but just couldn't get the mixtures right for part throttle running. I didn't have an A/F meter installed (which I am rectifying now) but I would have hated to see the numbers. I was advised to put this carb on by the tuner who was working on the car. Since I have had issues with the engine, despite being nearly new, I have had many people from all quarters say that that carb is simply too big for a pretty well modified (but not full race) 4.6.
So I am looking for another carb but am nervous to go with anything up at that 650 rating. But then again it is very difficult to find a 4150 based carb with all the good bits on it under a 650 rating - like the QFT SS-Series 650 mech sec with annular boosters.
The only reason I am looking at the this carb (despite the large-ish rating) is the "secondary air value" to control the amount of air (and fuel) that goes in the secondaries.
Anyway that's my story in a nutshell, Cheers, Graeme

So this is for a road car then??
The 650 size is great for drag cars especially with boost and or nitrous. But for a road car I think a 650 carb is too big for decent econmomy and part throttle response on a 4.6 engine.

Yes Perry a road car that sees some spirited drives through the hills and 4 or 5 track days a year.
So pretty much the best option is an Edelbrock 500 then?? Are there any other more performance orientated carbs without stepping up to 650 CFM??
Cheers, Graeme.
