Hi, I removed the non return valve when fitting a new Bosch 044 pump because it looked restrictive, but now I'm wondering if there are any consequences for either the pump or from fuel rail vaporization/air entry from doing this?
It a Rover 3.9 fuel rail and MS3 ECU which has a 5 second priming pulse.

Do less restrictive in line valves exist that I could easily fit just after the pump?

I doubt an naturally aspirated RV8 would ever find the restriction in one.

And if it's working fine without it....just be happy and leave it alone. The non return valve is not necessary.

I run an 044 without the return valve with megasquirt - no issues.
