Rover V8 Manifold cooling pipe, are these the same?

I'm looking for the metal coolant pipe wih a dogleg at the end, which bolts under the inlet manifold on the Rover V8.

Looking for the classic one listed as part number 603049, they want £35-£40 for this pipe. But the same looking pipe shape listed under the 4x4 inlet manifold has a part number of ERC2143 and I've found a source online for this pipe about £10. From the diagram I can see they look the same, but before I order does anyone know if they are different? The pipe is for a 3.9 Rover V8 in my MGB.

Looks like it would be easy to fabricate from domestic copper tube? Which wouldn't rust through. :D

I was thinking that but wasn't sure, could I solder some brackets to bolt it to the manifold?

I'd be inclined to use plastic P clips if there's room. But you could certainly fabricate brackets and solder then on.

Other tip is if the outer of the 15mm copper is slightly undersized for the hose is to solder on a solder ring (Yorkshire) coupler at the end. The raised bit which contains the solder is similar to the raised bits you often get on pukka steel pipes to stop the hose pulling off.

I've been using this for the last nine years.
