Chevy 350 water pump...... which one??

Hi guys which water pump would you recommend for my 350 build, the short or long nose style? I haven't got any pulleys at the moment so don't think it matters too much which I go for?? Or does it?? It's a cast block 4 bolt main by the way!!

Generally, pre 1970 blocks had short water pumps, later blocks had long ones

As far as I know, provided it spins the right way and fits it is the best one, personally I don't bother with the things.

Any suggestions on what to use for an electric setup?? Making the manifold section from the block is easy.... But what pump would you recommend??? Money is tight so can't be throwing silly money at this!

You are not going to sit in traffic jams are you? just bolt it on and plumb it in.
You may be able to find them from a UK distributor but if it is for drifting then you should be OK with a cheep one.
