Monday morning blues

After an exciting weekend with the new shop venture reality hit today when my truck decided to poop it's clutch.
Been recovered to work phoning round now to get it booked in looks like work on Cappa on hold again FFS Not happy.

Not so good but know the feeling. My Volvo D5 started to slip. When they took it apart the actual plate looked good and the cover still have the machine marks but Dual Mass Flywheel had signs of blue. So in all it cost £1200 and that was with discount on both labor and parts

Ouch mate.
I'm lucky mines the last if the solid flywheels before the navara went dual mass
Had quote of £550 all in parts and labour just waiting on 3 more quotes.

Not a truck but I threw the dual mass pice of crap as far as I could when it failed on my focus. Fitted a solid flywheel instead with a normal type plate. Cost about 800 less and it can't screw up again. Whoever invented DMF needs shot :lol:

I agree mate,
total cost is £575, that is with a 3yr warranty in any of the Unipart/onestop service centres, includes axle levels checked and topped up if needed and transfere and gearbox levels and courtesy car until finished goes in Wednesday should have it back Thursday 7hr book time glad im not lugging that 4x4 box about lol

what I thought too mate,
glad its got a 3yr warranty as that clutch will get a hammering once I have a trailer for the cappa to go on :lol:

Thats why I changed to an auto Truck this time round ;)

I thought it was so you could get more consistent times at the dial in day

Now have my baby back,
£620 lighter though :(
also had drivers side hand brake linkage jammed on, and I never noticed lol truck still went like stink,
even better now with new clutch and freed off brakes :lol:
