Hi all.
Desperate for some antifreeze I took a trip to Halfords on Monday.

I bought 5-litres that is mixed 50-50, when I "had a word" I explained I was now paying £17 for 2.5 litres of antifreeze as water comes free out the sky. I was told all antifreeze is sold this way now.
Is it me or has the world gone completely mad !!!!!.

Is this now the norm when buying antifreeze??

Thanks Simon ..... So i,m not mad after all.

Typical halfords rip-off ....... why can`t they just keep to selling push bikes as that is all they are fit for.

I bought some a few weeks ago at my local Halfords (I have a trade card and they're very good value for some things).

They had 'long life' and 'normal' - the latter one I always use in my RV8 - in concentrate. There were others there too - I just got the usual one, so didn't look closely at them.

I have purchased 'neat' anti-freeze in the last 6 months from Halfrauds.

Maybe just go to your local motor factors instead.

Chris.

Hi All,
Thanks for your confirmation ....... My local "Halfrauds" ( Chris you`re right ) is obviously doing their own thing.

Thanks guys I now know this is only a local event and I can still purchase real antifreeze.

regards, Mike
