Hi,
Have read in several books and on here about drilling holes in the front of the base of the V to allow oil return to the sump and increased chain lube.
My questions are, what size holes?is it worth it? and any pictures or measurements?
Thanks for help guys
John.

My understanding that this is more to do with lubrication of the dizzy drive gear. I assume you have a dizzy. Haven;t done it myself but I would of thought 8mm would be sufficient, sure someone else will be along to answer. If you do this mod though as you will need to get the block cleaned you may as well go the full hog and strip down to the block and do the valley polishing job as well.

I was told I could drill a 0.5 mm hole in the front of each lifter oil gallery plug just behind the cam gear wheel. This is supposed to give you a fine jet of oil to splash on the dissy gear and cam gear. I didint do it by the way.
