Transport delay.

Anyone got a rule of thumb for setting the transport delay for a wideband O2 sensor? On my SD1, it's just after where the pipes join into one. The formula given by MegaSquirt seems to need a maths graduate to work out.

Are you talking about the table for Lambda delay?
If so, I thought that you basically took a datalog of you driving at a constant speed, then mashing the throttle, or lifting off - you just want to create an instantaneous big change that will show in the logs.
Then you look at the point you mashed the pedal, and look for the corresponding rise in PW. Then you need to count the delay from that increase in PW to the rise in AFR on the log.
That is then your delay.
Apologies if you were asking about something else and I am teaching you to suck eggs!

Yes, it's that. But it seems to vary according to engine speed - so what is the best RPM to do this at?

Tuner studio now lets you fill out multiple values at different loads & rpms. It has 6 cells to populate I think. Discussion here:

Yes - but there was meant to be a 'wizard' for setting it up. And that was three years ago.
