CX Racing Intercoolers

Hi Guys
Anyone ever used CX Racing intercoolers? I'm looking for a twin entry/single exit front mount but am struggling. These guys have a couple. The one I'm interested in seems to be well priced (197USD), follow most of the rules for good IC design and it's bar and plate.

Thoughts?

Hi
doing the sums I would say you want a slightly bigger outlet pipe, say 3.25, if you allow for 50C cooling across the intercooler, however that is pretty close and won't cause much of a restriction and it looks nicely made, thought the core could be bigger I would think.
Best regards
Mike

Cool, thanks.
Another option for 275USD is:

- Bar & Plate Aluminum Intercooler
- Core Size: 24"X10"X3.5"
- Overall Size: 27"x16.5"x3.5"
- Two 2.5" Inlet, One 3" Outlet
- 3.5" Thickness Core
Still a 3" outlet but this is literally the only place I've found so far that does these.

The term "bar and plate" means absolutely nothing.
It's as generic as saying because a car is a car....they must all be the same.
The cheap chinese cores are all poor. Does that mean they are bad ? not really. They will work reasonably well, and depending on airflow and cooling requirements, they can represent superb value for money.
Will there be room for improvement ? Damn right there will. But do you need any more ? perhaps not.
If one of their off the shelf designs fits your needs and can arrive at your door cheap enough, then it would be foolish to ignore them. Worst case scenario and they dont perform as expected, then you could just buy a new proper quality core and have it welded onto the header tanks.

I dont think 3" piping is going to be a concern unless running big numbers. A quick google found this:

3" is good for 1300 CFM which is quite a bit.
Most smaller turbos are around 2" to 2.25" outlet size, i think i combined my turbo outlet(T34's) area to come up with the 3" size for mine.

3" will support lots of power, I'm still only on 3" boost plumbing, as are people making a lot more power than me.

Cool, that's good to know.
