Tyco Superseal connectors

I recently saw one of these Tyco Superseal connectors with a rubber boot over the cable entry. Same sort of thing as you get with the 'timer' connectors used on injectors, etc. But non of the usual suppliers seem to have the boots, although they do have the connectors. I've been using self amalgamating tape to do the same thing - but a boot would look neater.

Hi Dave,
not sure who in the UK would stock those, but they do fit and work on superseal connectors. You could try these guys, they may sell them separately:

I use a piece of adhesive lined heatshrink on these connectors (or "stack" two pieces if the transition is large) if I need a bit of strain relief on the cable.

I can get the Junior Timer ones easily enough - but not for all the varieties of Super Seal. It's more a look thing as Super seal are already pretty moisture proof.

Would a mini timer one not adapt ? Is there even a provision on the connectors you're referring to to attach a boot ?

I have seen and used junior timer connectors in 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 pin wide, with rubber boots, and these do fit the superseal connectors, I have used them before. If you can't find a generic boot, try a Tyco (AMP) or Bosch supplier.

Yes - the SS has pretty well the same lip as the MT. So they do fit. Perhaps I need to ask who in the UK stocks a full range of MT connectors and sells the boots separately?

Anywhere that sell them sell them separately.
Mini timers etc dont come as a complete kit. Sellers will make up the kits from individual parts
contact Martin at mefmotorsport, he sells most connectors etc at decent prices.
