Hi All
not sure if any one is interested, but there is a Powerglide for sale for £250 on the wild bunch forum
http://www.the-wild-bunch.co.uk/forums/ ... IC_ID=3268
that is pretty cheep for a core for rebuild.
Best regards

The price is very good, even if all the clutches are burnt out. Off the Wild bunch forum I suspect it is a good to go, they all know each other and would loose a bit of face to sell something that was not a runner.
It could do with a TH400 spline input shaft, a 7 clutch rebuild kit, a steel pressure plate and manualising the valve body but for about £600 all in you would have a 700 BHP box. I can lend you the book!
Bets regards

Why do you want a glide?

Hi
less demanding on the counting front!
With Perrys engine and driving style the MG tends to need to change up very soon off the line then need another change before the 1.8th he does not have the option of a higher final drive ratio so with a glide in theory he can get off the line and pull 1st up to the 1/8th using a slightly higher stall converter and a few more revs he can basically save one gear shift. Also they are quite a bit lighter than a TH350.
Best regards

If he laid of the pies for a week, he would shave 1/10 of his ET
