Plumbling for twin SU carbs

Hi all. I am about to plumb in a 3.5 into my Landy. The lump originally came out of a police defender. The carbs currently have a link pipe between inlets that also has unions for supply and return pipes. I do not intend to use a return. I currently have a facet red top pump with filter king regulator. This setup was fine with the holley that I had before (no return). Is there opinion out there that running without a return will give problems? My view is that the fuel pressure will not be adequate to cause leaks - anyone disagree? have related advice?

Cheers in advance
Phil

I don't think not having a return will be a problem (as long as the pressure is low enough). But fuel vapourisation might be.....

From experience, you will need a return line to avoid vapour-locking - not a problem as I can't think of a landy (series or defender) that doesn't already have a return line as standard anyway.....

the return ensures a nice supply of cool fuel. I inserted a restriction (a small jet) in the return pipe to keep pressure.
