hi all really need some help here ..ive 4.0 v8 gems rangerover which has been running ok .with just a flat spot on low rpm .ive replaced plugs.ht leads maf .idiol stepper valve.coolant switch and a lambda sensor .tested compression witch shows 10.5 x8 on the clyinders.
ive plugged fault code rear in .which had a lambda fault and maf fault .but for some odd reason if i unplug the maf it throws a fault (witch would be normal) when maf is plugged in its not showing any flow rates just sticks on zero.yet dosent throw a fault ..( totaly unsure were to check on pins for possible breaks ..can anyone help.as i tryed a new maf which shows the same..

next .when i go to start the car from cold it was start and then die .and will not restart just cranks with a odd missfire.(unless i just catch it .then ot will start very rough lump low rpm and if i blip throttle it bogs and i can hear a backfire ...)
the vechical dose the same on petrol and lpg .which is why i think its electric fault..
new parts added are .
plugs ht leads coilpack.throttle poitionometre.idiol valve.oil.filter.checked for vacume leaks .coolant sensor and maf

I would have thought a dodgy maf or the throttle position sensor being faulty.possible that they may be a air leak some where
