Hi Guys,
Saying hello from sunny Jersey (not). What a super forum, loads or information so thought i better join. I'm new to V8s having just purchased an MGB GT V8, a rather tired example which is in bits at the moment. I have been into MGs in the past, i restored and modified an MGC roadster about 28 years ago. Used it in local sprints and hill climbs, got the old girl down to a 14.73 in the 1/4 mile. By the way i don't do standard or factory, never been able to leave things alone.
Got into Harleys about 15 years ago, couldn't leave that alone either! also upset the Buell owners when i scrapped a perfectly good bike to build my own low rider.
Needless to say the latest purchase won't be standard either.
I'm not much of a photographer so will post pictures of the GT when it eventually goes on the road.

Welcome to the forum matey!!

If you are in Jersey and have an MG then you may come across the annual MG events over there. My friend Sandra Buckley organises a lot of those gigs.

Enjoy the MGB :)

Hi guys,
Thank you for the welcoming messages. I have been following what you all get up to, very interesting. You have so much more scope to do things over there, drag racing etc, very envious and its all just a drive away with no expensive water to cross.
I am doing the boring bits on the MG at the moment (body work) but when it comes to the more interesting bits namely the mechanics will no doubt be asking your fonts of knowledge the relevant questions.
Perry, i used to be involved with the local MG's years ago before Sandra joined but i do know her as my wife used to work at the same place. Might have to join again. Hope you get into the 9s soon.
Keep up the good work guys

Regards
Martyn
