Hi guys,

I think I have decided to go with the Range Rover v8 from my 97 P38 in the Moss, question is can I swap the front cover and p6 water pump etc from the p6 to the RR engine ?
Won't need all the fancy power steering etc and space is a premium ..

Thanks
Stu

yes, but . . .

you'll also need sump and oil pick up pipe to match from a non X bolt engine (sump front bolt pattern is different), cam swap to one that will take a distributor drive, a spacer to take up the extra length of cranknose that will poke through th old P6 crank pulley which you have to re-use and a couple of other things I've probably forgotten.

I would keep the P38 front cover, just ditch the ancillaries you don't want and get a shorter belt.

That front cover is very compact already.

Needing a dizzy is all in the mind - they are an abomination.
