Hi
In answer, an excelent engine with alot of tuning components (in australia and Newzeeland especially) , a lot used in boats too.
The heads can be swapped over so the exhausts exit above the valley should you wish to. . . for your Mid sixties single seater replica for instance, and for big turbo installations is boats, sand rails and mid engined dragsters. gearbox is an utter dog.
If you have 2 at a good price I would grab them.
Best regards
Mike

My mate has one in his Standard Estate, cracking engine, very very revvy, sounds the nuts, I would go full aftermarket electronics on the injection, I think they are now available in RWD configurations now so sourcing a gearbox and flywheel is now a lot easier, my mate had to have a flywheel made and a adaptor to fit a Toyota gearbox, He also used a Holley stand alone ECU, bit of a hard one to use as nobody supported the ECU in europe at the time, I would look at possibly an Emerald set up,, If the engines you are looking at are FWD engines they have one magnesium rocker cover one plastic, as the engine is normally transverse, the plastic one is at the back of the engine,
Have a look here,

Hi
So buy both, stick then one in front of the other in a slingshot chassis and have the coolest dragster on the strip
