Hi, I'm looking to replace my MGB fuel tank with an in-car foam-filled type one bolted to the boot floor. I need it for diesel tho, and different to a petrol one? Ideally I'd like a fuel sender unit in it as well.
I know there are hundred available on the net, but does anyone have one that they can recommend?

It shouldn't make any difference in the tank choice between petrol or diesel so long as it has a sump/swirl pot in it for low fuel levels. Getting air into a diesel fuel system is a pain in the arse.

Hi Elliot,
also called lap oil, can be used, if you dye it pink to heat your house, or run a tractor but generally only useful cleaning engine blocks.

As mentioned in another thread. Rally Design sell the plastic Jaz fuel tanks. Which are cheap and cheerful.
if it's purely for a race car I'd look to a small vertical style tank as by nature it would negate the need for a swirl tank setup as there isnt much room for fuel to slosh about.
Although with a poorly shaped tank, even a gravity fed extra reservoir below the main tank for it to draw from would suffice instead of having complicated pumped setups.
Although you would need to ask and be sure any foam used was compatible with diesel fuel.

Hey, thanks for your replys people! Looks like I'm going to save some money and just use the MGB tank that I already have, I'd forgot I'd already modified it for EFi when I had the V8 so the new sender unit has feed/return fittings already, bonus!
