Its been a while since i last posted !
my engine,5.0L RV8.with a one off billet steel crank (Farndons)4.6 block,H-beam rods,SDI heads,bowls opened up to match bores,stage 4,kenne belle rollers,blower cam,4-71 GMC blower 20% overdriven, 650 d/p demon blower carb,forged pistons (8.5:1)
on the dyno i was making 419bhp,
my question now is,Wildcat heads, are they worth me buying ?
when i had my engine built (a few years ago) funds wouldnt allow me the heads, engine has stood a while due to a slow chassis builder, and engine is going to be freshened up,
has anybody got any first hand experience with the heads ? any idea what gains could be had ?
all input welcome

Wildcat heads will make a lot more power, but you will need other upgrades to get the most from them. What boost are you making at 20% over? Topcat made nearly 400 on the dyno with a lot less blower and only 4 litres. You might be heating the air too much at 20% over, or the blower clearances need tightening up a bit.

running about 8lbs of boost ! spent a lot of time gas flowing the inlet, which always drops the boost slightly !
The blower was rebuilt not long ago,i wanted to go to 6-71 and underdrive it ! but was talked out of it by Nigel of UK Blowers,so they freshened it up,and built me a new manifold.

Have you thought about a slim charge cooler on top of the manifold or nitrous to cool the charge?

I'd have thought that either of those would make much more bhp/£ than head mods on top of your stage 4 head, if you went with n2o you could rig it up to a boost activated switch and stray directly under the blower, and of course an activate switch in the car, can't see you would get through too much and would make a massive difference!

Can you prove it THAT WILD CAT make more power??
Ever see any dyno graph of +5l wild cat engine..
Automotivecomp is trying to sell 398hp 5.0 wild cat engine.. It dosen´t convince me 100% You can also get 400hp for rover race heads..

I have seen a dyno graph of a wildcat engine making 700bhp in Australia, unblown! So with a blower the potential is there for huge power, this was stage 2 Wildcat heads, and from memory the engine was around 5 litres. Then again it was a full roller cam set up so much more potential than a flat tappet cam.

Maybe 700hp on race engine.. And i think it is Carl Hansen? 6.0 wild cat engine?
I want to see +400hp wild cat street engine dyno graph.. You can get pretty close to Rover race heads..

I always wonder why you guy´s bought some serious engine parts like wild cat head´s and you cant go to dyno? Dyno will cost say under 100£ and your engine will cost +6000-12000£. It is quite small amount for that..
I always try to go dyno when i made some upgrades..

Same with merlin head´s.. i have seen only couple of dyno graph..
