My SDI started out with flapper injection - so I replaced the flapper with a bit of ally tube when I went MS. I fitted the ATS in that.

I allready saw that pic sliag, so does any1 know what thread it is?
Im gonna try and do away with the y piece in the intake so it has two hoses straight into the airfilter housing, cant see the point of having 2 pipes squeezing down to one now dont need a/f meter.

One I bought was M18 x 1.5. Pretty common thread for this sort of thing.

The often supplied Megasquirt GM open type sensor is a 3/8" NPT thread, I purchased the weld in ali bungs from the states

the above M18 x 1.5 size is a common WB sensor thread.

The sensor I have came from Ebay and has the same electrical characteristics as GM. And, indeed, the one fitted to the flapper. I've a feeling there are two common thread sizes - the US one obviously imperial.

Hi,
I would keep it away from external heat sources if possible, as it can alter the tune if it gets heated from the exhausts.
I always recommend the air filter if your in doubt, but thats only for NA applications,

Interesting, Phil. Are you implying the original Lucas position on the SD1 - ie inside the flapper - was less than ideal? This does get some heat from the exhaust manifold especially when stationary. Might explain a few things...
Would it be better in the air filter on one of these? At the moment mine is in a tube which replaces the flapper, but would be easily re-positioned.

Hi
If youve got no issues where it is then leave it alone

You can always compensate for it in the tuning software.
If it is going lean due to heat soak, youll notice this when you sit in traffic for a while or if you turn the car off, then re-start the engine after 5 mins and it goes lean until youve driven for a while. If it does that then move the sensor
