I plan to paint my engine and want to make a simple stand to hold it and assume I use the bell housing bolts to hold engine to stand, how many bolts is normally used to hold an RV8 to an engine stand? ... and for example, do I use the top arc of bolts?
Has anyone used POR-15 Engine enamal? Any other alternative suggestions?
Thanks guys.

Mines the same, uses the bellhousing bolts to bolt the rear of the block to the four arms of the stand.

For me exactly the same as the other guys.
The POR 15 has been used by a mate of mine but not on his engine.
He used it on the chassis and swears by it.
It's apparently very good.
cheers

I used cellulose based engine paint bought from ebay, about £6. Took a few coats but looks pretty good, click on the link bellow and you will see pics of it.

Thanks very much. Engine stand bolts sorted and I think I'll go with POR 15 as all reviews seem to say it's the best. Very expensive but I'll only do this once .... more as actually this will be the third time but all other paint has chipped so I want a permanent solution (and cannot powder coat).
