Fuel hose question re: -6 to 8mm copper pipe

Just having some thoughts with the fuel hose size from the fuel rails (JE X over with ITB's) both in and out on the rails im using -6 fittings (same to and from the regulator) the standard fuel line to the pump is 8mm copper pipe with a decent barb, the worry is -6 isnt 8mm, think its 8.75 mm, Do you think it will be OK to the rail in and reg to the out pipe, it seems to fit over the barb fairly snug.

I ran 5/16 o/d pipe, so about 1/4 bore (6mm) and the stock ford return, which is probably 5mm
This set up allowed me to Run an easy 300hp on ITBs at 4bar

The dash numbers for sizing pipes are easy to remember. They are in /16" size increments, therefore a -6 will be a 6/16 = 3/8" OD for the JIC 37 degree fittings.

Earls 700106 is a male barb to -6 fitting which is very damn close to 8mm, so fine for 8mm rubber hose to push onto and use a clip as normal.
Ensure your copper pipe is suitably barbed or flared to ensure the rubber hose can never slip off.

I have one of these fittings and the hose is a really tight fit on it, on the copper pipe its a snug fit (doesnt need much effort to push over the flare) Maybe just me panicking over nothing....

When the hoses are on they are going to be pretty much out of site and hard to grt at to check for leaks etc.

Is it that exact part ? Most -6 barbs are a lot bigger, that specific part as close to 8mm as you'll get as the barbs are pretty small.
But if the copper is 8mm, the efi hose is 8mm and proper clamps are used, you should be fine. If still a little doubt, double clamp. Or extend the copper or use proper -6 hose throughout.
