makes the intercooler pipework a mare then mate, as will have to try and come out of the charger and tight round on it's self to go into the intercooler beside it,
or i have to cross over pipes where they go opposite sides and will look untidy :(

Also IAT i know we have gone over this loads of times,
BUT mine is not fitted at present as had to cut down the intake pipe which it lived in,
So do i fit it into the Y piece of the twin plen intake?

Put the temp sensor in the plumbing away from the engine. Heat soak at the engine always screws things up.

Cheers mate,

had another play about tonight,
if we turn the plenum around, and go back to a single plenum we can do this.........

does mean losing the twin plenum though :-(

You absolutely will not need two throttle plates. If they're worth money, sell them, get a single and just go fast instead :)

 :racing

best go looking for a single plenum and trumpet base,
will it matter going back down to slightly smaller trumpets compared to the TP ones??

I seriously doubt you'll know the difference

Trumpets is maybe more of a grey area. I guess that one depends how they flow compared to your cylinder heads.

I did put a ported trumpet base and larger trumpets on my TTRV8, but really honestly cant recall if they made a difference
Placebo at the time tells me they did....hindsight, I'm not so sure. I probably would leave them in place though

But back to the throttle one...compare the size of your throttle to the smallest diameter of the boost plumbing.

So you really dont need double the throttle compared to the size of the pipe actually feeding them.

I'd say stick to the double troubles...
Its what you have and what did run well.
Why do what everybody has ?? Be a hotrodder instead.

The more gets in the better it is...

Saves you money also.

Just my differend side of the picture, dare to be differend !

Im starting to wonder if the car will ever get on the road :-(

charger is all off again,

fitted the charger oil system tonight, and filled with oil :) and was going to spin her over on the key to finish priming it, cooler etc,
BUT god knows why and what made me do it i took the belt off and went to spin the charger over by hand etc as this was going to be the first spin up etc,
to my horror the charger locked up, and the impellor was binding, FFS >>>>>>

glad i checked now before spinning it over on the key,
if you slaken the bolts of to the charger and bracketry it all spins free and no binding, even with the brackets off the car if you tighten the bolts up the charger goes tight and binds again :(

Is something twisted, or a bolt too long ?

Is there any bolt in particular causes it ?

Mate, you are lucky you found that before cranking.
I'd tighten each bolt individually with the set-up on the bench while turning the pulley to see which
one causes the binding first, and do it starting with different bolts in both directions (clockwise and anti-clock).
Just for safety, tighten each bolt on the casing only to see if there is some buckling causing the binding.

I take it you are using the manufacturer's recommended torques or standard torque for the fasteners? See here for what I mean...
