Following on from the 100s in the other picture. The red 3000 (Black Hardtop) in that picture is even rarer one of the back up cars that would have raced at le mans.

Wooohooo! At last! Everything has been held up for the last 4 weeks due to the non-delivery of the new rad. It seems that there was a serious accident(????) at Serck Motorsport which stopped everything for a while.

Old rad (which did not have to contend with the new steering column, rack and re-sited oil cooler)

which won't fit in this gap now!!!!

Image

......but this will fit it or it will mean a refund!!!!

.... the rad she is in and loadsa work with cardboard templates and tinsnips means the ducting is half finished....

Image

...the bad news is that the engine being further back and the rad further forward means that the original hoses are just an inch too short....

...bugger :( :( :(

Really nice work there, I used a couple of multi plugs on my dash as well making it much easier to take apart. Course the plan n mine kinda fell apart when I used a mech temp gauge

Loads of small things now to be ticked off the list :(

But the boot's finished apart from a clean up! Everything's wired, tank pressure tested, tank return for the winter fuel injection project, battery isolation switch, low pressure fuel pump etc etc etc

As the oil cooler is effectively blocked by the front shroud and therefore gets no airflow it needed a cooling duct and here is the result 8) 8) 8)

Image

Now look hard at the photo, consider the headlights as eyes, the grille as the nose and the oil cooler duct as the mouth. Yes Folks, I think we have an extra from Pixars 'Cars' animation.

....and underneath

after the discussion of overheating coils on the forum its comforting to see the coil lurking behind its own heatshield on the last fuzzy shot.
