its alive

its alive

needs a bit of tweeking on the ecu, but by f@@k it goes well
needs a new set oil pump gears though as the faces of mine were a bit scored and so was the gear faces, as the oil pressure is a bit lower than prior to me replacing every thing,
i will see if i can get some gears before next weekend, failing that the car runs good, pulls right up to 6k with out any hesitation at all
im uploading a vid of the first start up as soon as its uploaded will post the link up.

well it was running
went to go out today and it refused to start,
once we got it started it ran shite keeps stalling and only seems to run on 6 cylinders until you rev it,
i changed the plugs with no joy, just my ferkin luck.
does seem to turn over as if no compression though :s
was fine when i parked her up last night

if its one side that is down it will either be you have lost the + supply to that bank of injectors, the - to the ecu is broken or a transistor has blown. A meter will be good enough for the + but you will need a scope or an LED to check the - side.

Jago is coming over with a scope today,
but had it sort of running this morning and there is hardly any vacuum when i pulled the ecu pipe off the plenum,
this dont sound good, or is this due to the cam???
going to do a comp test while we are at it today,

If the cam is too lumpy then you may have to go to a alpha n based map as no vac at idle due to the cam means the ecu can't tell whats going on. I tried a map based setting with my tb's and it didn't work! Alpha n was fine ish though (well it responded the way you expected it too within my limited experiance of tuning things like this).

she didnt like the alpha n either
BUT we may of found the problem
the vac advance unit on the dizzy is split big time, we undone the bolts and moved the plate by hand and we got her to near idle as per the weekend,
so going to order a new one before we change any thing else regarding the ecu
