What do you mean a charger pulley ??

A pulley is a pulley, doesnt matter what its for. They are all round.

Speak to Chris at CDF Racing, he will more than lkikely have something off the shelf that will fit or can be adapted for both crank end and blower end. It's senseless buying something you think will fit from the US.

They make hundreds of pulleys, so worst case he'll likely have to open up the centre bore and broach a new keyway int an existing pulley.

Or he might have something that will go straight on with no cocking about.

But will it have the offset YOU require ?

A pulley is a pulley, the'yre round, have ribs for the belt, and a hole in the middle.

By all means buy from the US, but considering you need a complete setup, it would make sense to approach a one stop shop who could supply everything you need pulley wise to get up and running.

Instead of trying to buy bits and pieces from everywhere.

Have you tried kev the mole?

PM him. He has just sorted my pulley problems out 3 weeks time i will have the bits ready to go..

My bits are having to be made as they are not stock sizes but you may well be lucky and seeing as you need the compleat setup.

Got to be better then messing around importing from the states

Cheers

what sort of fuel reg will i need?
as i gather my fse one will not be compatible with forced induction?

you will need to find a rising rate regulator that takes boost pressure from the inlet plenum :-)

ah pants,
looks like im gona have to sell my rising rate one i got now then and find another one.

The one you have is fine.

In fact, anything with a vac/boost reference is fine.

Orrr...even if it doesnt, it can be fine. Just run a higher base fuel pressure and never worry about boost referencing. You'll only be using relaitvely low boost, so its not a big deal.

So any option would work.

If your ECU has a boost/ vac sensor (as it does) then you are fine as you are mapping the fuel for boost situations, as Stevie says just up the fuel pressure generallly.

im waiting on a bosch recirc valve coming that i got on ebay, (its late coming),
i gather this goes between the charger and the throttle body, and the vac pipe stub from the recirc valve taps into the vac line after the throttle e.g fuel pres reg take off yeah?

cos im using a recirc valve instead of a dump valve type thing do i have to feed the wasted boost back to before the charger intake side, or can it just vent to air????

while the engines away im getting bits together for the charger again

Just vent to atmos...although I still say you dont really need it.

I'm with Stevie on this. On a Paxton running at 6-7 psi you should not need a re-circ.

They are really designed for Roots type blowers where you can get a massive heat build up when the throttle is closed quickly at higher RPM.

On my 3.8 I plumbed the re-circ back into the inlet side because I was running fuel through the blower but as Stevie says you can vent to atmosphere on your setup.

A cog drive pulley Chris at CDF has made fora friend. I'll be switching to cogs soon too
