you could try emailing the sellers on ebay etc, maybe some of them have hose with no white lettering.
But it is fairly standard to be marked. I guess white paint is the easiest way.

is there any rule of thumb regarding the air filter and heat when charging?
does it need a cold air feed? or can you just stick a filter on the charger inlet above the exhaust?

Mine is the same, and just above the exhaust. I have a bit of shielding around it, but when stationary no amount of shielding will stop it all.
When driving, there'll be enough cool air blowing into the engine bay it'll hardly matter.

cheers for that mate, gives me an idea what to do now,
i was thinking about using a 180 elbow and bring the filter back towards the front of the car,

It is an option. But I'd suffer a little heat over a very restrictive intake path. Once moving I do not believe the heat is a concern

a little update and a pic to wet your appetite
The supercharger and brackets were returned today and now fits perfect,
the intercooler pipe kit also came today, so let the pipework begin......
what did you do with your oil breathers Stevie? catch tank then vent to air?

Looks like it should work out well.
I think I'd be opting for a single TB though. Those are going to let in an awful lot of air at small openings now.
My breathers go into a large tank which is vented to atmosphere. Yes there are better more MOT friendly ways to do it....but this is simple, and I like simple.
