I never had any rusting problems with mine.

As for smoothrite etc....Maybe its just me, but any time Ive used Hammerite paint in recent times....I think its crap.

Flakes off easy, and stuff still rusts !!!

my timing cover, plenum, servo and front cross member are done in smoothrite black and so far touch wood, has never flaked off,

Tony,

Personally I wouldn't use oil as that can perish the rubber! I discovered PTFE spray whilst rebuilding the MGB and it's great for getting rubber bushings in to place. I would think Motor Factors would have it.

If the seals are fuel resistant, then its a sure bet its oil resistant !

If they arent fuel resistant.....I'd be worried !

Your probably right, but I date back to the time when you never mixed oil and rubber, with modern synthetic products it is less critical.

any one know where i can find the bosch motorsport green injector specs from?

im trying to set up the injector settings properly this time on the ecu and need to find the following,

injector open time@ 13.2V (us)
Injector effective ramp up. (us)
Injector rampup voltage compensation, (us)
Injector voltage compensation. (us)
Injector PWM DC (%)
Injector PWM peak time (ms)
