looking at the picture of the trigger wheel it looks like you have (from the front going backwards) the pulley, then the trigger wheel then a spacer, On mine I put the spacer between the pulley and trigger wheel to ensure the sensor only "sees" the trigger not the pulley. Hope that makes sense

well was let down today,
dont you hate it when people dont call and say they cant make it and your sat over a workshop like a twat waiting till gone 7pm for them,
well as you guess the trigger prob never got tested today due to the above, so now im going to have to send the ecu away, as i had some work done on the board in Jan and we are not 100% this is set correctly now. (converted to VR trigger not by vems) and the car needs to be moved next weekend,
The msq is from dnb who runs an identical setup to me so that is not the prob, the crank sensor is sending a signal up to the ecu plug,
so just leaves the ecu board not done right.
finished every thing off today the car is now officially finished mechanicaly wise,
will post pics of todays work when dloaded from camera.
just front seats and dash plastics to refit then done.
now you see why im pissed we cant get it running

Right guys a bit of a long shot this,
anyone near Didcot Oxon, and has a scope, and free sometime this saturday? and good with ecu's
reason being would like this crank sensor tested once and for all to make sure its doing what it should and not the cause of the non running car,
i have new firmware for the ecu also to upload and try with new settings,
but before i bugger about with the ecu anymore i want the trigger tested to be 100%

well managed to get someone over today to test the trigger with a scope,
and they said its spot on, nowt wrong with it or the wiring, gives a crisp trigger,
the fault looks to be the ecu,
to make sure we uploade danother firmware version and tried the settings again and nowt,
ecu has now been taken for a strip down and check over,
hope to have it back before next weekend,

I hope you get it sorted mate as that would really peeve me off. Vems is a version of MegaSquirt so all you stuff will work with a MS ECU, if you want to change let me know.....

Cheers mate,
i must admit its not the ecu's fault as such this time,
a friend converted it from hall to vr trigger for me (he has built a few MS ecus),
but it looks like something is not correct on the board now, so he has taken it back to see what the prob maybe. if its down to him doing the conversion, or if there is another prob,
He did say to me and the guys at caprisport that if he can't sort mine out by next weekend, i can have his brand new vems ecu thats sat in his cupboard as a spare for his car.

well its sort of firing now,
but wont run,
still think somethings wrong with the ecu,
or the config, found a dead channel on the ignition out put so far.
Dave have posted some details on vems if you see this before going to the vems site.

otherwise the car interior is all back in, the trim is also fitted under dash.

Tony,
Have enjoyed the weekly serial, it's been like a good drama on the box and just when we thought it was nearly over, you threw in a bit more suspense
Hope you sort it soon, i can't stand the suspense.
Regards,
Kevin.

Cheers Kev,
either way running or not the car is coming home today,
as caprisport need the workshop back as they have some customer cars to get done which have been on hold while my car has been in the workshop,
