Coilovers looking good Tony, and that sensor bracket is wicked!

Good job on the y-pipe too, looks good against the matt plenum nice and subtle. Like your engine bay as it still has that clean factory look to it! :D

Cheers olly
the idea was to try and make it look as factory as possible,
as it was looking to clutered and thrown together when i fitted the 3.9 in,

so its taking longer than planned to finish due to making everything look as factory or not out of place as possible, BUT its looking better me thinks now,

The gap between the trigger wheel and sensor should be as close as possible with out touching. 1 or 2mm is good.

Had a slow start to the day today

but things soon started moving flippin fast.
new metal water pipe made for the manifold and fitted to engine,

mounts had the bushes pressed back in and bolted back to the block,
Image

R380 Gearbox was prepped ready for final fitting,
speedo drive changed etc,
oil checked, it has some oil that looks like the same colour as meth spirits any ideas?
Image

Engine & gearbox was then fitted back into the engine bay along with the brake servo,
Image

Image

Image

Image

Close up of the engine mount and earthing tags,
Image

Oil filter and cooler hoses all fitted,
Image

also, heater hoses were sorced and fitted to the engine and heater matrix outlets.
Power steering pressure hoses fitted to pump and rack,
all engine electrics finished minus coil pack and starter to battery lead.
speedo cable fitted to box and clocks (lot of swearing and toys being thrown around by me doing this  )
Antiroll bar spacers fitted and roll bar set.

Hope to have the new ecu mounting plate done next weekend and the ecu, fusebox and relay block fixted to it and bolted in place, then the ecu wiring can be finished off,
gearstick mods needed,
prop fitting,
exhaust mods,
suspenssion mods.
rest of the cooling system, (water pipes and stat housing to be made)
then map tweaking and start up.

after many weeks dicking about trying to get a stat housing,
we decided to say F@@K IT,
and made our own , this way we have it the way we need it,
Image

And the new ecu fixing is nearly finished,

First take a sheet of Ally, and workout what you want to fix onto it,
Image

Then after a bit of cutting drilling and fettling, work out where you are going to mount it all,
Image

will post the finished and fitted bracket on sunday, by then it also should be all wired up ready to go live,
more on Sunday.

had another good day on the car today with Caprisports help,
things are going together fast,

ecu bracket spacers bolted through the floor and carpet trimmed to go over the spacers.
Image

Starting of the rewire of the ecu relays and fusebox,
Image

Finished, now comes the wiring job from the fusebox and relays back to the ecu,
Image

Also Caprisport made a start on the suspension upgrade:
Front end:

Old strut removed, and new coil over inserted, with 300lb springs,
Image

The HUGE 315mm Caprisport front discs refitted.
Image

Now the Brembo calipers are refitted,
Image

Alloy spherical adjustable top mounts are also fitted,
Image
Image

And sat back down on all 4, we have decided it can go another inch lower on the front still,
Image

More next weekend guys :D
