Thanks Stevie, TR7 has a tiny pcd and my alloys are still new. That said I could probably make new hubs or redrill them. I'll come back to you about this shortly as my customer also has to change his axle.

I think mine had 3.73 gears.. although Im on 3.55 at present. Swapping to 3.27 if the damn things ever arrive !

Although different ratios are only like $200

the 8" is a good option i used one on my porsche its much lighter than a 9"
i never broke it with my 400plushp rover v8
depending on when you need an axel i have this one for sale soon as i am having a fabricated 9" built at hausers
heres the spec of the 8"

full width ford 8"
standard 28 spline shafts
lsd
378 gears installed
325 gears to go with the sale
cosworth disks and calipers mounted
four link brackets welded
watts linkage brackets welded
and brake lines done
all it needs is a wheel bearing and its good to go
the spax shocks are allso for sale
the ford 9" is a very exspensive way to go building one right its costing me nearly £4500

Thanks Ian, I knew I could rely on you for the answer.
I am running a 3.07:1 at the mo with my TH350. And thats a bit low. Can I get an even lower ratio for the 8" ?
Should I call Geoff Hauser for some info?

When the car was manual, I could do 100mph at 3000rpm, but with the TH350 its now down to 70mph ish.

When I fit my BFG's to race (which are 22" dia as opposed to 24" that they should be) I am on the rev limiter at 6k as I cross the line. I'm trying to get some bigger race tyres. But theres not a lot about to fit 14" rims.

Of course the worst kept secret Rally Design have is their Hercules axle, its a Currie 8", so spares, if you ever need them wont be a problem, just more expensive than curries

Bit more rubber to the road than your cosmics and they also have a more suitable rolling radius than your BFG's although, there is not so much rubber going down this time.
You're welcome to "warm them up" if you like, so long as you leave me some tread to go home on.

Infact, if I remember, I'll dress the rears with tyre softener + pop them in the boot. I can always stick two of my dunlop V8 wheels on the back for the trip down.

Your 15" rims will still have tyres with a 24 and a bit inch rolling diameter JC. Thanks for the offer though. But I could get some BFG's or MT's to fit the 15" rims which will give me a 26" rolling diameter. I'll give you a tenner for them!
