Tony,

Great progress and looking very exciting, it's about time someone was giving Perry some thing to worry about, that should get him thinking about an aero package to improve his second 1/8 mile times and top speed.

hehehehehe

im not giving much hope to worrying Pel just yet,
the new set up maybe slower than the old engine (ferkin hope not)
every thing needs setting up and tunning again so that's not going to happen over night,
maybe towards the end of next year i will be at a stage to take Pel on

Well today was engine mount day
The following are the stage at we have finished tonight

Chassis mount bracket,

Bracket nearly complete,
Image

second shot of bracket (please note the top support bracket from block not fitted yet)
Image

these are going to be a 100% stronger than the old rubber bobbin style mounts the capris use,
SO hopefully i wont break these little babies

the tunnel has to be cut out tomorrow now, as Neil and Jon at Caprisport are not happy with the gearbox clearance

cheers guys,

need to remove the interior tomorrow as need to cut the tunnel again to lift the box a bit more, its defo sitting lower than we want after lowering the engine a bit more,

made the engine bay braided brake lines while there today too,

picking up the bigger fuel filter on the way to the car in the morning so we can start planning the filter location so we can get the fuel line running on the go too,
once we have the engine bay area sorted the new engine can go in,

Neil and Jon have started drawing up the rear end suspenssion that they want to try out (bit different to your standard 4link setup) and rear coilovers, looks like its defo bye bye leaf springs hello coilovers and 4link,.

more updates to follow sunday night,

broken engine bobbin mount classicford day at the pod 2007,
engine jumped that violent when it broke on the track it dented the bonnet
still ran a 13.5 though with one engine mount
