went and collected the dizzy bung from the machine shop today,
and what a pucker job they have done,
I have a spare which they did for us i will be selling it in the for sale section later this evening,
my one on the left with dizzy 'O' ring fitted, along with clamp bracket and nut (one on right will be for sale)
Fitted to the timing cover, the threaded hole is for the ease of removal if needed.
slowly getting there,
hope to start getting the crank sensor bracket machined from the block of ally in the next week or so,
Exhaust manifolds have been removed from the car and are awaiting to be shot blasted to clean them up, will then paint then with VHT and wrap then in exhaust wrap,
which is the one you are using Mr Stew?
as the last lot i had seemed to rot the manifolds out,
anything else you guys need to know regarding the build ???
Ah yes the new front coilovers are in fabrication at caprisport, pics when they are done,
the 1.4kw starter motor, was stripped cleaned painted and fitted to block today to find out the solenoid was a dud, changed that and all now engages as should be,

Well started sorting the ignition side today, (coil packs and leads)
Removed the old dizzy cap ends from my 8mm mallory leads and fitted the correct coil pack ends that i removed from two sets of mondeo leads,
once this was done fitted them to the engine and started sorting the firing order correct for the coil packs,
think i sussed it now,
on first coil pack cylinders 1 and 8 then opposite 6 and 5
then other coil pack 4 and 3 and opposite 7 and 2
Have the loom made for the coil packs also so when the cars over at Caprisport can merge that with the efi loom and wire into the new efi/ignition fusebox for the ecu.
start on the manifolds tomorrow, repainting them after they have come back from blasting.

Keep us posted Tony!!
I'm want to get mine back on the rollers before the Retro Show. I'm hoping to break that 400 ft/lbs barrier next. I'll be happy with that for the old MG. I dont think the body shell will take much more off the line eh?.

took the opertunity while off today to start sorting the engine bay wiring out, oh F@@K why did i ever start that job
4hrs later and it still looks the same mess before i started

and i have removed shite loads of old wiring along with an old alarm loom, and the hyfire and coil loom,
the old loom tape is all flaky, so running the cables all in split sleave tubing so if any thing gets added at a later date its easy to add to the o/e bay loom.

Tony!
Do what I do mate. Bung all the wiring in with whatever colour cable you have. When it works just spray it all Satin Black
