Had a small Senior moment in the past when setting the engine up have we Coops??
Come on. Spill the beans!!
OK!
I'll start it off. Way back in the day. I decided to use my spanky new priming tool on a new build to make sure I had oil where I needed it. Then I decided to set the pre loads. I sat for quite a while wondering why I couldnt get a measurement. I was only 12 at the time though

hehehehehehe,
Need some ideas to raise some funds to finish the car now,
think all i need now is:
36-1 trigger wheel,
crank sensor and plug,
coil pack conectors (x2)
fuel line and fittings,
im going to sell my bilstien front suspenssion to raise some of the cash and run her on stock struts for now, not good i know but at least it may be mobile in time for the drag day.
we did have the money for the ignition side but had to replace the valve springs etc so that fucked that plan up

got 90% of the serp front fitted this weekend,
made the bracket adaptor for the powersteering pump bracket (my heads got a bolt missing) and thats fitted a treat, (thanks to Jon and Neil for there help)
hope to sort the alternator bracket this week coming, so may have the alternator fitted next weekend which should complete the serp front,
the inlet manifold is all bolted on minus trumpets and plenum top,
sump all bolted and and finished with,
just waiting on the trigger wheel and sensor to arrive next week (weather permitting),
we can then fit that and make the sensor bracket.
its getting there, next weekend should be the last weekend i can do anything on the engine,
i will then need to turn to sorting the fuel lines some how on the car, doing a bit of rewiring etc then start getting ready to fit the engine and box back in.
and fit the exhaust.
Any one got a part number or length for the multi rib belt for the interim serp front? (non A/C)

Tony,
I was just browsing e-bay and saw an ad from RPI for some expensive stage 1 heads!
What I noticed is that they are SD1 style 14 bolt heads and in the blurb they say not suitable for serpentine type engines so I'm wondering if the bolt pattern on the front of the early heads is different and thats whats cauaing your fitment problem.
Being RPI it could all be Bo---cks of course but worth comparing with the later heads if you still have them.
By the way that new engines looking very nice , so you'll be giving Perry a bit of competition then
Kevin.
