Tried that spraying at 4psi a few weeks ago with no better results. So I just switch gears back to 4 psi. It seems I don't have enough horsepower on my 3.5 to spin my blower that fast. Engine dies at 5200rpm while at 4psi I can reach 7000 with no problem.
Have to say... with stock heads I had 8psi also with no issues.
Merlin heads dropped the boost levels to 4psi but with more bhp as a result so I took the change to raise boost to 8psi with spining the blower even faster.
Lesson I learned............raising boost with a blower will not raise bhp all times as it takes more bhp to drive the blower faster. There's a point the engine won't have enough to spin it.
A blower can not be compared to a Turbo which takes allmost no bhp to spin so it has nothing to do with boost levels.
For the moment Ill stick to my 3.5 ( have too....).
Explanation why I need 7000rpm....
Holland is near Germany where they have an Autobahn. From where I live its 1 hour away...............
Those Germans think my scoop is fake until I shift into 5th at 135 real mph......suprise....... you have been fooked by an OldSkoolFord with a driver on clogs
