.....even the supports have been cut & shut

Image

....note the cunningly extended header that allows the steering shaft to pass through. Just wondering how long it will take the grease in the UJ to degrade? Answers on a postcard please to blah blah blah.

Sorry Hairbear,

they were on the car when I bought it in red and black crackle paint. They were then stripped for polishing. There doesn't seem to be any markings to identify them.

Cheers,

..... a somewhat better shot of the wibbly-wobbly solution to getting the steering column around a big fat V8. If the engine was any wider and the engine bay any narrower we'd have had to have the first steer-by-wire Healey

.... modifications to the transmission tunnel so a seat can be got in. I sold the standard Healey seats as they had no head restraints and I'd like to avoid as much whiplash as possible in a situation.

Image

It's such a narrow cockpit that a seat width of only 18 inches will fit and this is the 'wide' version for my lardy @rse!

Image

.... and it's in and I fit in too.

unfortunately the rollcage won't let the seat go back any more so any passenger will have to be short or very flexible !
