What discs did you use? Presumably vented if for Cosworth callipers?

I believe they are Mercedes discs that were ever so slightly redrilled to suit.
And they are solid discs, only 4x4 cossys had vented rear discs.

'Racing' discs are not that expensive per se. I'd speak to someone like Reyland who could produce some bells relatively cheaply, they all you have to do is replace the actual discs rather than the whole thing.
Well, that's what I'm planning on doing long term anyway.

When I looked into it, plain bolt to a bell racing discs were about four times the price of a similar sized production car type. Before the cost of the bell. That was from Burton.

if you avoid ones with discs fitted and buy the disce over here they are cheep to import, cost you about £85 to your door with all duties paid. there are loads at the moment, end of NASCAR season. . .

From what I remember there isn't as much depth on my brake rotors as those bells. I'll have to check but I'm away this wkend.

Try ebay. . . nascar brake bells and nascar brake discs you will find a veriety of them in ally and various depths, this tyme of year for about 3 weeks Ebay US is flooded with really nice used Nascar stuff and very cheep prices, I was actually trying to give examples not say "buy this one"

Having said to avoid 9" axel in the first instance, there is a 43" wide 9" ford case on eurodragster at the moment for £100, not much said about it but if it is a factory case a bit of bracing might be needed for anything over about 850 bhp otherwise a cheep way to start you collection of bits
