Them shaped spacers under the sump bolts are a good idea mate, to spread the pressure from the bolts over the gasket. I have never seen that done before.

The Flintstone special!!

Looking good Coops :)

You gotta keep yer pecker up in times of woe with cars mate!!
I'm in a world of pain with my fuel systems at the mo!

Today I almost bit the bullet and went EFI. Luckily Tricky came round and gave me a slap to calm me down.

I wasnt this stressed when I melted the block a few weeks back. Its all ready to run but I've found a huge issue with the new nitrous system thats bugging the hell out of me. But thats another story.

You gonna bring her over for a cuppa on the test run?
I'll show you our new Ford V8 project ??
Just wait until you see my idea for the rear axle. You will either gasp in awe. Or piss your pants laughing

Keep at it mate not long to go now dude.

Respect
Pel

what a c**t of a day
got the manifolds on, rack sorted, plenum on, rad hoses done,
we thought oil time,
cranked it over nothing, tried again tried 7 times on and off over an hour and nothing,
decided backfill the oil pump like last time via the oil cooler blank plug in the bottom of the timing cover,
put the socket on and snap, FFS
spent two hours trying to remove the snapped fitting,
once out back filled pump, fitted a new blank and 3rd rotation of engine wack 1/2 on the oil pressure gauge :D

thought time to run the bitch up,
OH what s**t idea that was,
connected ecu, ignition on fuel pump primed, pressure gauge on the reg went up after a few seconds and pump stopped, thought great,
turned key cranked over and nothing, just turned over and over and over not even a hint of firing
good job i took the laptop, uploaded the msq file and she fired first flick, made Neil and i both jump
had an issue to sort out twith the steering but thats now sorted,
got home 1/2 hr ago after a long weekend, and im please to say its fooking great driving it again, and its an animal

Well done Tony, an impressive weekends work to say the least.
If you head for Perry's one evening this week can you let me know and if it is ok I'll invite myself over to say hello, (if that is OK with Perry) I would very much like to see the car and finally meet you.
Best regards
Mike
