i think its around 22.4lb i maybe wrong.

Looks good mate.
Is that number -008 ? Could it mean 8 thou' removed from the decks? That's probably enough to nearly remove the engine number.

I'd go along with that, seems a reasnoable amount to ensure the deck was square to the bores, over stamp them with V8 Kid 1

I'd hope that they would have equalised the deck height as well.

Well had a bit of spare time after work tonight so started on the engine,

Start of crank install,

shells coated with Graphogen paste, man this gets everywhere

crank sat on shells and caps starting to be installed.

all caps fitted and crossbolts fitted, and it turns over free by hand, PHEW

start of the piston install, this is where im at tonight, crank in and torqued, and two pistons fitted,

they do arf take a lot off when they balance parts dont they

Right:
Got a bit more done tonight:

all pistons are now fitted, (the crowns sit near flush with the block face when at the top of the bore)

my adjustable cam gear i use behind the interim cover,

SD1 baffle plate fitted to the block along with the oil pick up,
