Just got off the phone with Andy Robinson of ARRC,
had a bloody good chat with him (40mins) and he will do the work and he works out £2.50 cheaper than Hauser, BUT they are only a 30min drive away from me,
he told me to leave the diff in and he will remove it do the axle work and reset the diff FOC for me

Narrow casing, supply 9" housing ends, supply Strange Engineering Pro street shafts, end plates, studs and bearings £540.00 +vat. £634.50 inc
i will be having Mosser shafts due to the 28 splines,

Strange dont do 28spline ??

Is there a 31 spline Trac-Lok diff available ? Or could you just get the 31 spline spider gears and replace them, to allow you to use 31 spline shafts ?

Assuming you are retaining the TL diff...

Something worth thinking about. Although Ive no doubt the 28's will be perfectly fine and strong !

Maybe ask over on Corral or some of the Yank Ford forums, if the 28spline Trac-Lok diff can easily and cheaply be converted to 31 spline.

If it can, it could be worth doing.

If not, just stick with what you have. ( and buy my Torsen lol )

Is the Axle from a Jensen Interceptor III the same as the 8.8 or is it a totally different item

Hi
As the rest of the drive train is Mopar (chrysler) then I am pretty sure the axel will be Mopar 8 3/4.
best regards
Mike

Havent a clue. I guess any of the aforementioned places work with this kind of stuff on a regular basis, so may well have something.

Or as they are ordering parts for the rebuild anyway, just let them sort all bits needed.

is it not a Dana44, very similar to the Jag diff, I believe a lot of the internals will interchange
