Much cleaner. I thought your voltage was all over the place but then I looked at the scale and its only .4 of a volt so is ok. At long last your getting there. Hows the cold start these days?

thats still a poop,
but i can live with that as the car starts perfect when hot,
and she spends more time hot than cold

it starts when cold and will idle very low though, as in 600rpm but have adjusted all sorts to stop it stalling but it either stalls straight away after adjustment, or wont start, so put the settings back and left it be.
we have cleaned the air filter today as that was caked in dirty and dead insects etc,
and it ran a lot smoother while out for a spin after this also.
so will see what it does to the cold starting if anything.

That engine, forged pistons, higher c/r and ALOT of nos! Trev ran a 3.5 with an 11:1 c/r plus that infamous 700hp nos shot. You'll be showing Stevie the way down the track with that much poke!

got my alarm system back from clifford today,
it was sent back a week ago as it was not behaving itself,
the work sheet that came back stated eprom corruption both on the main alarm brain and the intellistart brain.
they reprogrammed both units FOC the main alarm is now working sweet.
Interpart are coming over tomorrow evening to program the intelli start unit up with their laptop and clifford software.

Its times like these that those knackered old carbs start looking tempting again!

I have a new honed to size RS cam bearings spare if you want them for a future build? (foc  )

cheers Gav,
if they are going spare they will always be handy mate

i know what you mean about the carbs,
BUT i will soldier on, as i recon the car will benefit more by running the 16x14 mapping tables over the 12x12 ones,

looks like another winter in the garage with the ecu in bits

monty man came over today, and this still had us both beaten,

so:
we have finally got the ole gal running again (phew)
but back on the 12x12 set up until we can work out why it went wrong.
but she is mobile again which is good.
