what do you mean different flywheel? a re drilled Sd1 will take the 10.5 clutch wont it? as nice as a lightened one would be i really cant afford that, same with the cam, im only a 19 year old student, so just want to get the engine in and sorted before swapping parts, got a 2wd LT77 that i think ill use, which will bolt stright on (im told) so after that clutch and flywheel, all ill need is to get a prop made, and do all my own mounts etc.. was worried about electrics (as its injection) was reading how far into the car the engine loom goes, but since the engine is in a classic range rover, i figured it shouldnt be so bad, but that was the my downfall when i did the 2.9 conversion, i hate electrics!

On a budget
Fit a Vitesse flywheel and clutch - standard organic one
Or perhaps a TVR one from breakers yard etc
It will work well and be easier for street driving than a twin plate which acts more like a switch - on or off
If you're not into electrics and depending on the age of the Capri run the motor on a carb - much easier to set (IMO) and bin all those "iffy" terminals, contacts, high resistance connectors etc. Just need to check the Capri Age and get the emissions to work on the body age requirement. Emission is based on age of car or engine whichever is older

I forgot Ian was a fan of the carb, nice to still have one or two on my side
By different flywheel I did indeed mean an SD1 type, meant different to the RR one. Your RR bell housing will also need to be swapped for a 2wd LT77 one. The 4wd and 2wd LT77 set ups are completely different.
If your EFI gunk is something special it may be worth something to someone, then you can buy the Eddy 500cfm carb and Performer manifold someone is selling in the for sale section on here!

oh right, i was told up there somewhere ^ that any of the standard clutches wouldnt be man enough... Carbs are an option, but think ill just try the Efi 1st, age of the car wont matter for emissions, its an '82 but ive just got 13 months MOT and work at a garage whenever im home.. if you get me.. and if you get the carb set up right it should pass emissions no problem anyway for that age test..

i ran my v8 on standard vitty clutch for years, (3.5 and 3.9)
even when i started using nitrous,
its when i went to 50bhp of gas i had to change the clutch, and im still only using the 9.5" clutch on the new 4.6 engine, but a custom one by AP.
