They well stand being run flat better than a standard lead acid which could be useful when winching etc or indeed more spill proof. Not really requirements for a road car.

I hate to drag this thread back onto topic but on the subject of master and slave cylinders, and saving weight then I suggest you look at something like a new ford transit style that has plastic units that weigh sod all! A decent saving over even the ali cylinders, Not expensive in the aftermarket either.
