when priming the pump it goes for a good few seconds and it hits 3bar so happy the regulator is fine.

To set the basline fuel pressure you need to override/bypass the fuel pump relay so its running when the engine is off and adjust the regulator to get 3 bar (assuming thats your baseline).
After that and once the engine is running at idle you will see you fuel pressure is much lower - which is expected assuming you have a vac line going to your FPR.

Adam, when I had the standard type set-up my fuel rails held pressure for quite some time after engine switch off but with the new set-up (ITB's) and different fuel pressure regulator then as soon as the engine is switched off then all the fuel pressure goes, apparently the new regulator is designed that way. As others have said, don't worry about it. Would be interested in looking at your latest MSQ if you'd care to send me a copy.
