do you know the lift and timings on the cam choices you have? about 215 degrees on inlet timing at .05" lift (about the same exhaust) and at least 110deg LSA should see you OK with towing and blatting roundabouts and should be OK with the auto, go much above 220 and you will need 114 deg LSA or a looser torque converter, you may get away with 225 at .05 if you set the idle high and the LSA is 114deg but I don't really think you have enough capacity with the 3.5. If you can find a cam with short the shorter duration and more lift and a wider LSA then the better it will be especially if you use it with the ported heads. the other thin to try would be long tubular headers to try and pull the torque in early.
